Who we are, and what this covers
These terms govern your use of Millieprep. By creating an account you agree to them. If you don't, please don't use the service.
What you get
A meal planner that builds weekly plans around your household's allergies, dietary needs and schedule, turns them into a shopping basket at a supermarket you choose, and keeps track of what's in your cupboards. Every feature is included in the one plan; there are no tiers.
One subscription covers a single household of up to 4 logins. The people you cook for are unlimited — only the number of separate sign-ins is capped.
Trial, price and payment
- Your first 30 days are free, and we don't ask for a card to start.
- After that, Millieprep costs £3.99 per month, including VAT where it applies.
- If you subscribe while your free trial is still running, you keep the rest of it — your first payment is taken when the trial ends, not when you enter your card.
- It renews monthly until you cancel, and we take payment on the same day each month.
- Payments are handled by Stripe. We never see or store your card number.
If we ever change the price we'll tell you by email before it takes effect, and you can cancel before it does.
Cancelling and refunds
You can cancel at any time from your account settings. Your subscription stays active until the end of the period you've already paid for, and then stops. We don't charge a cancellation fee and we don't make you email anyone to do it.
Your 14-day right to cancel. As a consumer buying online you normally have 14 days to change your mind and get a full refund. Because the service starts immediately, you're asking us to begin during that period — but we'll still refund the current month in full if you cancel within 14 days of your first payment and tell us at [email protected]. This is on top of your statutory rights, not instead of them.
If a payment fails we'll retry it and email you. If it keeps failing, the subscription ends and the account reverts to read-only rather than being deleted — your data stays put until you ask us to remove it.
Allergen information
This is the most important limitation of the service, so it gets its own section.
Millieprep filters recipes and products using ingredient and allergen data published by supermarkets, matched against the allergies you record. That data is imperfect in ways we cannot fix from the outside:
- supermarket listings are sometimes incomplete, out of date, or simply wrong;
- manufacturers reformulate products without changing the listing straight away;
- "may contain" and cross-contamination warnings are inconsistently published;
- our own ingredient matching, however careful, can miss an unusual name for something.
Always read the label on the physical product before eating it. Millieprep is a planning aid. It is not medical advice, and it is not a guarantee that any particular food is safe for any particular person. If an allergy in your household is severe, treat what we show you as a starting point and check everything yourself.
Prices and availability of groceries
Grocery prices, product details and stock levels are collected from supermarket websites and may be out of date or wrong by the time you shop. We are not the retailer: your purchase is between you and the supermarket, on their terms, at their prices. We don't take payment for groceries and we can't fix a problem with an order they fulfilled.
Your account
- Keep your password to yourself; you're responsible for what happens under your account.
- Give us accurate information, particularly about allergies — the app can only work with what it's told.
- Don't scrape, resell or redistribute the recipe and product data in the app.
- Don't try to break, overload or circumvent the service, or use it to break the law.
We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms. If we do, we'll tell you why, and unless the reason makes it impossible we'll give you a chance to put it right first.
Recipes and content
Recipes shown in Millieprep remain the property of whoever wrote them, and are shown with attribution to their source. Anything you create — your plans, your notes, your saved collections — stays yours. You give us permission to store and process it only so far as we need to in order to run the service for you.
Availability
We try to keep Millieprep running and reliable, but we don't promise it will never be unavailable. We may need to take it down for maintenance, and features may change as the product develops. If we retire something you depend on, we'll give you reasonable notice.
Our liability
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law does not allow us to limit — and, because of what this service does, we want to be explicit that we are not attempting to limit it.
Subject to that, we are not liable for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable, for business losses, or for losses caused by supermarket data being wrong where we have passed it on accurately. Your statutory rights as a consumer are unaffected by anything here.
Changes to these terms
We'll update this page if the terms change, and change the date at the top. For anything significant we'll email you first. Continuing to use Millieprep after a change means you accept it; if you don't, you can cancel.
Law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. If you live elsewhere in the UK you keep the right to bring a claim in your own courts.
